Product Care
Each Haena An piece is conceived as a contemporary artifact — a sculptural object intended to endure, transform, and accumulate presence over time.
Sterling silver and brass are living materials. Through wear, atmosphere, and individual body chemistry, their surfaces will gradually develop patina. This quiet evolution is not considered deterioration, but a natural expression of material memory.
To maintain the intended surface condition, remove jewelry before bathing or exposure to chemical agents, and store the piece in a dry, protected environment when not worn.
A yellow polishing textile is enclosed with your order. Gently pass the cloth across the metal surface as needed. Dark traces appearing on the textile are a natural result of oxidation removal and indicate the restoration process. The textile is designed for continued archival care and may be used over extended periods.
For works incorporating precious gemstones, clean the metal elements with the provided textile. Gemstones may be rinsed separately in lukewarm water with a mild soap solution, then carefully dried with a soft cloth.
Over years of wear, each object will acquire subtle material nuances — a quiet record of contact, movement, and time.
